Graduates who RSVP yes to the ceremony will be notified when tickets will be available.
GENERAL TICKET INFORMATION
- Each graduate will receive eight general admission tickets, which will be distributed through Madison Square Garden’s website. Note: Madison Square Garden (MSG) manages the Chicago Theatre.
- Each graduate must keep one ticket for themself to enter the theatre.
- You and your guests will be using your phone’s digital Wallet to scan ticket when entering the theater.
- At least one of the graduate’s guests should use the Madison Square Garden website to access tickets for their party and download tickets to their digital Wallet — details on transferring tickets below. Guests will arrive after graduates and may be unable to contact the graduate prior to the ceremony.
- All guests, 2 years and older, must have a ticket with a unique barcode scanned upon entrance to the venue.
- Although you will see a seat number on the ticket, there is no assigned seating. All tickets are general admission.
ACCESSING GRADUATION TICKETS
- Each graduate’s tickets will be linked to their Adler email account (@adler.edu). Adler email access will be required to access the ten general admission tickets allotted.
- Those who are unable to access their email should view the steps below, IT’s password management tool document, or contact IT.
- Guests cannot use screenshots, images or printed copies of tickets for admittance.
- Follow steps below or review the Madison Square Garden ticket instructions deck.
Follow these steps to access and manage your digital tickets BEFORE the day of the ceremony:
- Visit the Madison Square Garden website.
- Go to top right-hand corner and click “Sign In.”
- A pop-up window will appear: “New to Ticketmaster? Sign Up.”
- Follow the prompts to “Create a Ticketmaster Account” using your Adler email address.
- Do not use other, non-Adler email addresses to access your tickets.
- On the top-left menu bar, select “Tickets.” This will take you to “My Events.”
- On “My Events” select “View Event Details” for the Adler Commencement ceremony.
- Select your tickets. This will take you to the mobile ticket and barcode all guests will need to enter the venue. Swipe right to see more tickets.
- All tickets are General Admission, even though they have a unique number associated with them.
- Graduates should keep one ticket for themself, and transfer the other tickets to at least one other guest.
- Select “Add to Wallet” to add to your digital wallet.
- Select “More” and you can transfer tickets to guest(s). See below.

TICKET TRANSFERS FOR GUESTS
- All guests, 2 years and older, must have a ticket with a unique barcode scanned upon entrance to the venue.
- Screenshots, images or printed copies of the tickets will not work.
- At least one or the graduate’s guests will need access to that party’s tickets. The graduate will not be able to assist the guests’ ticket access.
Follow these steps to transfer your digital tickets BEFORE the day of the ceremony:
- Follow the steps above to log into the Madison Square Garden ticketing website with your Adler email address.
- On the top-left menu bar, select “Tickets.” This will take you to “My Events.”
- On “My Events” select “View Event Details” for the Commencement ceremony.
- Select your tickets. This will take you to the mobile ticket and barcode all guests will need to enter the venue. Swipe right to see more tickets.
- All tickets are General Admission, even though they have a unique number associated with them.
- Select the three dots for “More” then select “Transfer.”
- Select the tickets you would like to transfer. Then select “Continue.”
- Enter the recipient’s name and email address or phone number associated with the guest’s existing Ticketmaster account.
- Select “save.”
- You will receive an email notification that you have initiated the transfer process. Your guest will receive an email or text notification once the ticket has been transferred to them.
- Your guest will be prompted to accept the ticket. Your guest must complete the process to accept the ticket. You will be notified when the ticket has been successfully accepted. GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES
- Complete this Access Services Request Form or email DisabilityOffice@adler.edu by October 16 if you or your guests have accessibility needs.
NEED MORE TICKETS FOR GUESTS?
